Q + A

What should I wear to the wedding?

Our dress code is semi-formal/dressy casual. Anything from a dress and heels (or suit and tie) to separates and flats (or dress shirt and slacks) will be perfect. Bear in mind that it should be about 15 degrees Celsius (60 degrees Fahrenheit), so you may want to bring a jacket!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The wedding is technically indoors. Our reception is held in a barn, but the ceremony is held in a very open shed. However, there will be plenty of heaters around! If it rains, you'll want to carry an umbrella since there is a very short walk from the ceremony to the reception area.

Should I bring a gift?

You absolutely do not have to bring a gift! We are just happy to have you there. If you would like to bring a gift, please see our "gifts" page.

What should I do in between the ceremony and the reception?

In the time between our ceremony and reception, we will serve some canapés and drinks just outside the reception area. We will have yard games and a few activities, but this is your chance to mix and mingle with people you might not get to see very often! Family and close friends may use this time to take photos with the bride and groom.

Where should I park?

We will have ample parking outside the Red Barn. Just drive on up the driveway and we will have someone to direct you!

Can I bring a plus-one?

Your invitation should clearly state whether or not you have a plus one! If you're not sure, please reach out to either of us.

Can I bring my kids?

Your invitation should state whether or not your kids are invited! If you're not sure, please reach out to either of us.

Will my meal cater to my dietary restrictions?

Yes! If you have any dietary restrictions, please describe those on your RSVP. Please note that we'll need to know in advance so we can tell our chef!

Can I take photos at your wedding?

Absolutely! Take as many as you like. Please remember that during the ceremony you might be photographed, and so if you see our photographer you may want to put away your phone so that you're not looking at it in photos!
